The Coalition for Employment Though Exports (CEE) announces that John Hardy, Jr. has been selected as its next President.
John has spent his career, both in the government and the private sector, in the export promotion and project and trade-financing sector. In the 1980's he was the Deputy Director and then Acting Director of the Trade and Development Agency, before managing a private sector investment fund in Agency for International Development (AID). He subsequently worked for several engineering and energy companies in Washington, D.C. managing their export financing efforts.
Since the early 1990's, John has been engaged with CEE and active in export promotion efforts throughout this period-testifying before Congress on export finance and trade promotion issues numerous times. In 2008, he became involved in the development of a waste-to-energy project in Izmir, Turkey and continues to be active in the promotion of green energy technologies.
Currently, John is on the Board of a California waste-to-energy technology company and has been Chairman of the Board of two other nonprofit companies: America's Development Foundation and the Foundation for the Protection of the Chiquitano Forest, based in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
John is a graduate of Princeton University and Columbia University School of Law.
